PECG is a sponsor of Assembly Bill 790, which would provide a continuous appropriation for state employee salaries if the Legislature is late in passing a budget this June.  It means that instead of receiving minimum wage, PECG represented employees and others would receive their full paychecks on time, even if the budget is late.

Legislative Analyst Mac Taylor has endorsed the Governor’s proposal to cut State employee salaries -- sort of.  The Governor’s State Budget proposal projected a $20 billion shortfall in the General Fund.
