PECG is again soliciting nominees for outstanding activity during 2010 as follows:

MEMBER OF THE YEAR - Complete Online or Submit Paper Copy

Our Bylaws provide for honoring a Member of the Year at our annual meeting in October. This award is made annually to a member of PECG who has made exemplary contributions to PECG. Each Section is invited to submit the name of one or more persons to be considered for this award. Using the attached form, explain why this particular person should be honored. The award can be based on special one-time assistance to PECG or for years of dedicated service to PECG.

PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD - Complete Online or Submit Paper Copy

The Professional Achievement Award is given to a state-employed Engineer or related professional who has demonstrated outstanding professional excellence. A letter soliciting nominations for this award will also be sent to Directors of state departments. For any engineer or related employee whom you feel would be worthy of this award, please complete the attached form, and outline the specific reasons why this person should be honored. PECG membership is not a requirement for this award, though it is a consideration.

SECTION OF THE YEAR - Complete Online or Submit Paper Copy

To assist in making the selection for this award, please complete the Section of the Year Inventory form. Not every item on the form needs to be completed, but every Section is encouraged to fill out and submit the form, whether or not you think your Section is likely to win.

OUTREACH AWARD - If you do not need to include supporting documentation, you may Complete Online. If you need to attach supporting documentation such as photos, articles, or letters, please download and Submit a Paper Copy.

The Outreach Committee established the Outreach Award to recognize those who have shown their dedication to PECG through their activities in the Outreach Program. The Outreach Award will be given to the member (or members) who have contributed to the success of the Outreach Program by dedicating their time and effort toward advancing PECG’s goals through activities with external educational, community, or professional organizations. Using the attached form, please explain why this person (or group) should be honored.

DEADLINES

We would like to have all your recommendations and your Section of the Year forms in by August 9. This will give the Committee a chance to follow up with each Section, as necessary.
